How many safety features come standard?

Standard safety and security features for the Ford Mustang include advancetrac electronic stability control, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, MyKey, a rearview camera, a four-wheel anti-lock brake system, an illuminated entry system, LATCH, an individual tire pressure monitoring system with a spare tire, a perimeter alarm, an sos post-crash alert system, and an securilock passive anti-theft system. Additionally, the Mustang comes with a personal safety system for the driver and front passenger. This system comes with dual-stage front airbags. Other airbags are standard as well like the side-curtain fastback, the driver’s knee, front-seat side, and a glove-box-doorintegrated knee. For more features, they can be added as standalones or with one of the many available packages.

What's new for 2018?

New for 2018, the Ford Mustang makes the EcoBoost trim its new entry-level. This trim is equipped with features like launch control, a limited-slip rear differential, an electronic line-lock, keyless entry and ignition, two USB ports, a 4.2-inch center display, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. One package that can be added to this and the GT trim is the Performance package with a bigger radiator, a larger rear stabilizer bar, and much more. The EcoBoost Premium trim adds features like a nine-speaker audio system, an 8-inch touchscreen, revised cabin trim, power front seats, leather upholstery, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The GT trim mostly remains unchanged from the previous trim’s features but does provide a more powerful engine with a greater fuel economy. The GT Premium receives the same features as the EcoBoost Premium trim. Additional features can be added through the standalone options and extra packages.

What engines are available?

The Mustang has three engine options. The EcoBoost trim comes with a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4. This engine comes with 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. The GT trim comes with a 5-liter V8 with 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Both engines have the option of a six-speed manual transmission or the all-new ten-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The third engine is a 5.2-liter V8 with 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with the six-speed manual transmission. All engines have rear-wheel drive.
