The robins are coming back and the flowers are starting to bloom. Spring is finally here! If you’re like most people, this means it’s time to shake off the dust and grime that’s accumulated in your house over the winter. For many people, this is a pretty involved process that takes several days. You spend tons of time dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows, etc. When it’s all done, you feel great…until you get in your Ford to go somewhere. You realize it’s full of food wrappers, tissues and other debris from commuting and other winter driving. This year, put your Ford on your spring cleaning list!
Start by removing the trash, food wrappers and discarded plastic bottles. They have a habit of building up when it’s cold. When you can see your seats and floors again, break out the vacuum. Give everything a good go over with the vacuum – don’t forget under the front seats! Then get the spray cleaner and paper towels. Clean the dash panel, inside the windows, door handles and any other interior surfaces that have gotten grimy.
Finally, tackle the exterior. You may want to take it to a car wash where they can blast the under carriage to remove all the salt and sand from winter driving. If not, make sure you spray down the undercarriage as best you can with your hose. Once the car’s exterior is clean, wax and/or polish it to give it a fresh shine fit for the refreshing nature of spring.
It’s easy to forget about cleaning cars when they spend time sitting in garages and driveways. Many people don’t think about it until they’re in it, and then they’re driving and can’t clean it. By adding your Ford vehicle to your spring cleaning list, you’ll have a clean car to enjoy for all those spring and summer road trips.
