Joining the family of America’s best-selling pickup trucks, the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning brings all-electric muscle to roads and worksites around Sumner. It can effortlessly sprint past traffic to catch a green light, tow colossal loads without racking up a gas bill, and power large machinery without the grid.

Powerful Electric Propulsion System

The F-150 Lightning is propelled by a potent all-electric powertrain, featuring two motors and a 98-kWh battery. The setup puts 452 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque to the ground via all four wheels, providing explosive acceleration for work and adrenaline-fueled adventures. With the available 131-kWh Extended Range Battery, the electric motors’ power output reaches a beastly 580 horsepower. In this configuration, the pickup truck rockets to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.

Reliable Towing and Hauling Capabilities

Despite arriving at the worksite without a Ford EcoBoost engine under its hood, the F-150 Lightning is just as capable as its gas-powered sibling. The electric truck tows 5,000 lbs straight out of the box and 7,700 lbs when equipped with the Max Trailer Tow Package. Meanwhile, the FLASH and LARIAT trims, which feature the Extended Range Battery, tow an impressive 7,700 lbs without additional equipment and 10,000 lbs with the Max Trailer Tow Package.

The F-150 Lightning is also a reliable option if you need to haul dozens of cement bags or large machinery. The pickup truck offers a max payload capacity of 2,000 lbs in its base configuration and 1,800 lbs with the Extended Range Battery.

Impressive Driving Range

Most daily commuters can get by with charging the F-150 Lightning just once a week thanks to the truck’s 240-mile driving range. Drivers who travel out of town often can opt for the FLASH, LARIAT, or Platinum trim levels, which feature the Extended Range Battery. The FLASH and LARIAT drive up to 320 miles on a single charge, while the Platinum drives up to 300 miles.

Fast and Universal Charging

F-150 Lightning drivers have access to over 160,000 public chargers, including 37,500 DC fast chargers, as well as 17,800 Tesla Superchargers. When plugged into a DC fast charger, the F-150 Lightning XLT recharges from 15% to 80% in only 32 minutes.

Convenient Backup Power

The electric pickup truck offers 11 available power outlets, located in its bed, cabin, and frunk, with an available 9.6 kW of power. This means that you don’t need to pack a generator when going on a camping trip or working where the grid is unavailable. The truck also features a 240 V outlet capable of powering welding equipment or an air compressor.
