Engine (Power)
The 2025 Escape Active, ST-Line, and ST-Line Select feature a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with 180 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque, delivering efficient and smooth performance. The 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, exclusive to the Platinum and ST-Line Elite trims, produces 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque for a more dynamic driving experience. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Selectable drive modes, such as Eco, Normal, and Sport, allow drivers to customize the vehicle's behavior to their preferences.
Performance
Performance across the Escape lineup is well-rounded, catering to everyday needs and more demanding driving scenarios. With the 1.5-liter EcoBoost, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds. The 2.0-liter EcoBoost boosts the Escape's capabilities, enabling a 0-to-60 mph time of just 5.9 seconds and a towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds when equipped with the Class II Trailer Tow Package. Selectable drive modes, such as Slippery and Deep Snow/Sand, enhance traction in varying conditions. The Ford Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system seamlessly distributes torque between the front and rear wheels for improved handling and stability.
Interior
The 2025 Escape's interior balances comfort, technology, and versatility. A standard 13.2-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, providing intuitive access to entertainment and navigation. The Active trim includes durable cloth upholstery, while the ST-Line features sporty ActiveX seating material with red stitching.
