Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Ford F-150 is available in eight trims: XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor. The XL trim features 17-inch steel wheels, black front bumper, black grille, and manual mirrors with black plastic exterior trim. The STX upgrades to 18-inch aluminum wheels, body-color bumpers, fog lamps, and a black honeycomb grille. Moving up to the XLT brings a chrome two-bar style grille with chrome surround, LED fog lamps, chrome exterior trim, and optional 20-inch wheels. The Lariat adds LED headlamps and taillamps with signature lighting, body-color exterior trim, and power-folding mirrors. The Tremor stands out with 33-inch all-terrain tires, a hood featuring active air vents, elevated ride height, off-road running boards, and orange-accented grille. King Ranch models showcase a chrome grille with accent color mesh, two-tone paint scheme, power-deployable running boards, and 20-inch machined aluminum wheels. The Platinum features a satin-chrome grille, 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, and power-deployable running boards. The Raptor tops the range with 37-inch all-terrain tires, integrated hood marker lights, wider stance, signature "FORD" lettering grille, and functional front skid plate. The FX4 Off-Road Package adds skid plates and off-road tuned shock absorbers to XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims.
Engine (Power)
The base 2.7L EcoBoost V6 powers XL, STX, and XLT trims, generating 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. This engine balances daily driving performance with fuel efficiency. The 3.5L EcoBoost V6, standard in Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum models, produces 400 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque, delivering enhanced towing capability and acceleration. The Raptor exclusively features the 3.5L High-Output EcoBoost V6, producing 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque for superior off-road performance and quick acceleration. An optional 5.0L V8 engine available for XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims delivers 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. All engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission and include selectable drive modes to optimize performance across varying conditions.
Performance
The F-150 achieves a maximum towing capacity of 14,000 pounds when properly equipped. The FX4 Off-Road Package enhances capability with skid plates, off-road tuned shock absorbers, and an electronic-locking rear differential. Tremor and Raptor models feature Trail Control, functioning as low-speed cruise control for off-road driving, and Trail Turn Assist for improved maneuverability in tight spaces. All F-150 models include five selectable drive modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, Tow/Haul, and Slippery, adjusting vehicle dynamics for different conditions. The 360-degree camera system with split-view display aids in both off-road navigation and everyday maneuvering. The 10-speed automatic transmission optimizes power delivery and efficiency across all engine options.
Interior
The XL, STX, and XLT trims feature an 8-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4, while Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor models upgrade to a 12-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4A. Both systems support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. King Ranch models feature Kingsville leather seating, while Platinum trims include multi-contour seats with Active Motion. Lariat and higher trims incorporate a 12-inch digital instrument cluster with customizable displays. The Interior Work Surface, standard across all trims, provides a flat workspace when parked. Max Recline Seats, which fold nearly 180 degrees, are available for comfortable rest breaks. Higher trims include heated and ventilated seats, with a premium B&O sound system standard on Lariat and above.
Safety Features
Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 comes standard on all trims, incorporating Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, and Dynamic Brake Support. BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert becomes standard from XLT upward, monitoring blind spots and warning of approaching cross traffic. Lariat and higher trims feature a 360-degree camera system for improved visibility during parking and trailering. Active Park Assist 2.0, standard on higher trims, manages steering, shifting, braking, and acceleration during parking maneuvers. Intersection Assist helps prevent collisions at intersections, while Evasive Steering Assist provides additional steering support during emergency maneuvers. Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Reverse Guidance systems simplify trailer maneuvering.
