The 2025 Ford Ranger emerges with a complete redesign, featuring bold styling and advanced technology. This midsize pickup comes exclusively as a Crew Cab with a 5-foot bed, offering improved interior quality with soft-touch materials throughout higher trims. The cabin provides exceptional noise isolation during road travel, and three new paint colors join the lineup: Ruby Red Metallic, Desert Sand, and Marsh Gray.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Ford Ranger is available in four trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, and Raptor. The XL comes equipped with 17-inch steel wheels, all-season tires, and a black mesh grille with black surround. LED headlights and daytime running lights are standard across all trims. The XLT adds 17-inch aluminum wheels and a chrome grille with horizontal bars, plus an optional Black Appearance Package that includes 18-inch black painted wheels and a black center bar. The Lariat steps up to 18-inch bright-machined aluminum wheels, LED fog lamps, and an upgraded front bumper. The Raptor stands out with 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires, a signature grille with amber marker lights and "FORD" lettering, wider fenders, and increased ground clearance.
Engine (Power)
The XL, XLT, and Lariat trims feature a 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 engine generating 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The Raptor receives a more potent 3.0L EcoBoost V6 producing 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. All models utilize a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2.3L engine with 4x2 configuration delivers 21 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined, while the 4x4 version returns 20 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined. XL, XLT, and Lariat trims offer a choice between 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains, while the Raptor comes standard with an advanced 4x4 system and terrain management.
Performance
Models equipped with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds. The Raptor improves this time to 5.5 seconds. When properly equipped with the Trailer Tow Package, the XL, XLT, and Lariat can tow up to 7,500 pounds. Payload capacity reaches up to 2,128 pounds, varying by configuration. The Raptor enhances off-road capability with an electronic locking rear differential and FOX Live Valve shocks featuring position-sensitive damping.
Interior
XL and XLT trims feature an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and cloth upholstery. The Lariat and Raptor upgrade to a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster. A 12-inch portrait-style touchscreen with SYNC 4A comes standard on XLT, Lariat, and Raptor models. The Lariat adds leather-trimmed seats, while the Raptor includes performance seats with model-specific stitching. A wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones is available. The rear seats provide generous legroom for the midsize truck segment.
Safety Features
Ford Co-Pilot360 with Pre-Collision Assist and Lane-Keeping System comes standard on all trims. The XLT, Lariat, and Raptor add Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert. Lariat and Raptor trims further enhance safety with a 360-degree camera system and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go functionality.
